The Tsum Valley Trek takes you deep into one of Nepal’s most remote and culturally rich Himalayan valleys. Known as the “Hidden Valley of Happiness,” Tsum is tucked away in the northern part of the Gorkha district and remains relatively untouched by modern development.
Here, you’ll discover ancient Buddhist monasteries, sacred caves of meditation, and villages with strong Tibetan influence. Snow-capped peaks like Himalchuli, Ganesh Himal, and Sringi Himal form a breathtaking backdrop to this spiritual journey.
Unlike other popular treks, Tsum Valley offers a more peaceful trail, authentic cultural immersion, and a deep spiritual atmosphere.

Our representative will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Evening briefing about the trek and equipment check.
Explore Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath Temple, while we arrange your restricted area permits. Overnight in Kathmandu.
A long but scenic drive through hills, river valleys, and small towns leads us to the Budhi Gandaki river basin – the starting point of the trek.
🌿 Walk through terraced fields, tropical forests, and villages. Cross suspension bridges before arriving at Machha Khola, a riverside settlement.
Trek along rocky ridges and cross several bridges. Jagat is a traditional Gurung village and official entry point for the restricted area.
Enter the Tsum Valley trail. Today’s walk passes through pine forests, mani walls, and first glimpses of Sringi Himal.
Visit the lower Tsum villages with stone houses and prayer wheels. Great views of Ganesh Himal from Chumling.
Walk past monasteries and mani walls, gaining altitude gradually. Chhekampar offers panoramic Himalayan views and Tibetan-influenced culture.
Cross villages, terraced fields, and chortens. Nile is a culturally rich settlement with close ties to Tibet.
A short climb leads to Mu Gompa, one of the most important monasteries in the valley. The area is surrounded by high peaks and yak pastures.
Spend the day exploring the surroundings. Optional hikes to nearby viewpoints or visit meditation caves used by Tibetan saints.
Descend gradually to Rachen Gompa, a large nunnery monastery. Experience the spiritual lifestyle of the Buddhist nuns.
Retrace steps down the valley, passing through villages and farmlands.
Exit Tsum Valley and rejoin the Manaslu Circuit trail. Deng offers views of rugged ridges and Sringi Himal.
Walk through forests and villages with Tibetan-style houses. Namrung offers mountain panoramas of Himal Chuli and Ganesh Himal.
A short trek through rhododendron forests and monasteries. Lho village is home to the Ribung Monastery with beautiful views of Mt. Manaslu.
A scenic walk to Samagaon, a Sherpa village with traditional houses and cultural landmarks.
Board a jeep and follow the mountain roads down to Besisahar.
Return to Kathmandu for a farewell dinner. End of trek.
