Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m) – Airport Pick-up & Hotel Check-in

  • Meet and greet at Tribhuvan International Airport.
  • Transfer to a hotel and rest after your journey.

Day 2Tibet Visa Processing & Leisure Time.

  • Submit a Chinese visa application (we take care of it). 
  • Free time for exploring Kathmandu.
  • Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3Preparation for Tibet Trip

  • Pick up a Tibet group visa from the Chinese Embassy. 
  • Final preparation for Tibet journey (gear check, currency exchange, etc.) 
  • Free evening for personal activities.

Day 4Flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa(3650m)

  • Arrival at Lhasa Gongkar Airport with stunning Himalayan and Yarlung Tsangpo River views.
  • Scenic drive to Lhasa through Tibetan villages, barley fields, and prayer-flag landscapes.
  • First distant view of the famous Potala Palace upon entering Lhasa.
  • Hotel check-in and rest after arrival.
  • Acclimatization day at 3,650 meters to adjust to the altitude.
  • Recommended to stay hydrated, eat light meals, and avoid heavy activity.
  • Optional evening walk around Barkhor Street for a first experience of Lhasa’s spiritual atmosphere.

Day 5Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Market

  • Full day sightseeing tour exploring the spiritual and cultural highlights of Lhasa.
  • Visit the iconic Potala Palace, former winter residence of the Dalai Lamas.
  • Explore sacred chapels, assembly halls, murals, and tomb stupas inside the palace.
  • Enjoy panoramic views of the Lhasa Valley from the palace terraces.
  • Afternoon visit to the holy Jokhang Temple, the spiritual heart of Tibetan Buddhism.

  • Learn about Tibetan Buddhist history and the Gelug tradition.

  • Afternoon visit to the renowned Sera Monastery.

  • Scenic drive along the Lhasa and Yarlung Tsangpo (Brahmaputra) Rivers through beautiful Tibetan landscapes.
  • Visit Samye Monastery, the first Buddhist monastery established in Tibet and an important Nyingma center.
  • Explore ancient chapels, prayer halls, and monastic quarters within the monastery complex.
  • Lunch at the monastery restaurant in the peaceful surroundings of Samye.
  • Continue to drive to Tsetang, known as the cradle of Tibetan civilization.

Day 8Drive from Tsetang to Gyantse(3950m)

  • Cross three spectacular high mountain passes: Kampa La, Karo La, and Simi La.
  • Stop at Kampa La Pass for panoramic views of the sacred turquoise Yamdrok Lake.
  • Enjoy breathtaking scenery of snow-capped mountains, valleys, and Tibetan nomadic landscapes.

Day 9Drive from Gyantse to Lhasa(3900m)

Day 10Excursion to Tsurphu Monastery(4300m)

  • Morning drive from Lhasa along the scenic Qinghai–Tibet Highway.
  • Journey through Tibetan valleys, traditional villages, and rural landscapes.
  • Travel on paved and off-road mountain routes toward Tsurphu Valley.
  • En route visit to the historic Nenang Monastery in a peaceful mountain setting.
  • Continue to Tsurphu Monastery, the historic seat of the Karmapa lineage.
  • Learn about the monastery’s rich history and significance in the Karma Kagyu tradition.
  • Explore assembly halls, sacred chapels, ancient statues, and important relics.
