The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek is one of the most iconic Himalayan journeys in Nepal, combining rich cultural experiences, lush forests, and stunning mountain views. This moderate trek leads you into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded by towering peaks like Annapurna I (8,091m), Machhapuchhre (6,993m), and Hiunchuli (6,441m). Ideal for trekkers looking for a shorter Himalayan adventure without high-altitude extremes.

The trek is considered moderate. You don’t need mountaineering experience, but you should be in good physical condition. The trail includes long walking days, stone steps, and altitude up to 4,130m, so preparation and pacing are important.
The best seasons are:
Spring (March–May): Clear skies, blooming rhododendrons
Autumn (September–November): Crisp air, great mountain visibility
Winter is also possible (December–February), but it’s colder and snow may block higher trails.
Yes, altitude sickness can affect anyone above 2,500m. We ascend gradually, monitor symptoms, and encourage hydration and rest. ABC trek is relatively safe if you follow your guide’s advice and don’t rush.
You’ll stay in locally-run teahouses. Simple lodges with twin rooms and shared bathrooms. They offer basic bedding, warm meals, and a cozy atmosphere.
While it’s possible to trek independently, we highly recommend hiring a licensed guide for safety, navigation, and cultural insights. Porters make the journey easier by carrying your main bag, allowing you to enjoy the trek more comfortably.
